Senior Accountant - Mergers and Acquisitions

We are expanding our team and seeking a highly qualified Mergers & Acquisition Senior Accountant who will support the Corporate Development team with our financial due diligence process. This role will be a critical component of our broader due diligence process and will report directly to the Vice President of Corporate Development. The responsibilities of this role include working directly with our Corporate Development team to build a quality of earnings (“QoE”) for target hospitals, performing proof of cash analyses, and working directly with hospital owners and their external accountants to verify the validity of each target’s financials. This role will support remote work.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the preparation of an internal QoE databook, which is used to evaluate a potential target hospital’s pro forma earnings, historical cash flows, and overall reliability of past financial results.
  • Work directly with the Corporate Development team, hospital owner (or owners), and sell-side advisors to collect and analyze a target hospital’s transaction level detail.
  • Perform proof of cash analyses to identify and analyze risks associated with the cash inflows and outflows of each target hospital.
  • Clearly communicate financial risks, opportunities and results to the Corporate Development team and other key stakeholders involved in the broader due diligence process.
  • Perform ad hoc financial and accounting analyses, as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • 2+ years of similar work experience, preferably in public accounting, multi-site retail, healthcare or other multi-location industry preferred
  • Self-starter with strong analytical skills including the ability to interpret data, question the results, generate insights and construct solutions
  • Manage multiple engagements at one time while being able to stay organized and familiar with each acquisition’s status in order to meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and expert accounting knowledge
  • Ability to work seamlessly with QuickBooks and Excel, while with large amounts of data
  • Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills
  • Aptitude to adapt to a fast-paced environment

Our salary ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The compensation range for this role is $80,000 - $100,000 annually plus bonus. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The Company offers competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, sick leave, 401(k), and more depending on location.
