Kennel Assistant

Department: Support Staff (non-technician)
Location: Bend, OR

East Bend Animal Hospital is looking to add a Kennel Assistant to their passionate team!

In this role, you’ll help veterinarians and technicians with handling pets during exams, vaccines, and blood draws. You’ll also help keep exam and treatment areas clean and ready throughout the day. This position is perfect for someone who’s a team player, stays organized, and enjoys helping wherever needed.

This is a full-time position, with a 5/8 schedule and availability needed Tuesday-Saturday.

  • Compensation: $16 - $17 per hour, for each hour worked*

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

  • 1+ years of kennel or animal handling experience
  • Commitment to a career in veterinary medicine with ongoing training
  • Proficiency in the following skills:
    • Communication
    • Restraining
    • Walking and cleaning patients
    • General hospital cleaning and stocking
